DESCRIPTION:Presenters: Professor Ernie Lam and Professor Emeritus Anthony Wensley \n\n\n\nUnderstanding unconscious bias is an important first step to making structural and personal changes that support equity and inclusion. The purpose of this online workshop is to: \n\n\n\n\nExplore the existing evidence on representation and bias\nExplore case studies that illustrate how bias might intersect with various aspects of faculty experience\, both within academia and beyond (e.g.\, everyday interactions\, grant applications\, interviews\, award nominations\, committee decisions)\nProvide an overview of how bias can affect decision-making\nSuggest strategies for reducing the effect of bias on structural and personal practices\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister Now\n \n\n\nNote: This workshop is intended for all faculty at U of T.
