DESCRIPTION:This session is open to academic administrators\, faculty\, principal investigators\, and staff. \nSession Leaders: Hisani Kreiser\, Senior Lead\, Academic Immigration & Recruitment and Sophia Martins\, Recruitment and Immigration Advisor with support from Olumide Bolu and Carolina Moreno do Nascimento Alme\, Employment & Immigration Consultants \nHosting international colleagues\, researchers\, expert knowledge holders\, or visitors to your department\, lab or office requires advance planning\, including from an immigration perspective. This session will provide an overview of the Canadian immigration system\, offer information on ways to host and invite international collaborators\, and answer general questions about the process and options. \nPlease note: A registration confirmation email will be sent only to the person registering; however\, all registered attendees will receive the Zoom link and all relevant materials a day or two prior to the session. The session will not be recorded.
